When
Upcoming confirmed events are listed in the side bar. Events usually last around two hours, depending on how fast the ends are played and how late the event is scheduled.
Where
We play at the Iceoplex in Simi Valley. Walk inside the main entrance and then go in the inner door on the right. We will either be set up just inside that inner door with a table greeting folks, or we will be at the far corner of the ice rink preparing the stones and the ice for play. If you don’t see us just inside the inner door, walk around the ice rink (keeping the ice on your left) all the way to the far corner.
What
Our events are usually Open Houses. Anyone of any skill level can drop in and play for $20.00. We are happy to teach new players, and we usually have enough experienced players to play a few ends at the same time.
Once in a while we have a small tournament. Our current tradition is to hold a “Pumpkinspiel”, our annual Halloween tournament, some time in October.
Event Planning
We plan events using Facebook and our mailing list. Dates when ice is available are proposed, and if enough people commit to a date and time, then the ice is reserved, the event is confirmed, and it’ll be posted on this site.
